life is short so drink up and it’ll make it go a hell of a lot faster

             I think year nine will be,  I don’t what year nine will be like. Teachers can’t ask us about the future because we don’t know what’s going to happen.

             I’ll take everything that I’ve learnt through year eight into year nine but weather I will use it is different. I don’t know if I’ll use any useful things for the future coz i don’t know what the future is.

            My goals for next year are to get into MacRob and to get pretty good grades. In the holidays I don’t know what I’ll do COZ I DON’T KNOW THE FUTURE!!!!

      Through Blogging I learnt about grammer and the improtance of being clear about what your saying. I learnt about how to use your blog to voice you opion. I think that it would be good to keep blogs for next year, even if we don’t do any class work through blogging it’s good to have so we can say what we think. I think bloggging doesn’t really help use to learn, it helps us to write down what we learnt. It kinda helps us learn how to comment on other peoples opions and views of different things.

We don’t so much grammar at school so out teacher decided that we should do some. We have to write about what we learnt from a site we went onto today. We also have to say what we thought about it.I think it was a pretty good site for if you were just starting grammar but it’s really easy for older kids. If wasn’t that fun either beside some of the games, they were okay. I didn’t really learn anything, I learnt all about grammar in primary school so that site didn’t teach me anything.  www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise/words/grammar/

We have to find 2 impresive blog posts. 1 from our class and 1 from somewhere eles. From My class i choose Zoe’s blog. It’s very long and and detailed and i think that it explains what we were talking about very well.

From somewhere eles i choose Darhen from a year nine class. he wrote what he liked and didn’t feel like he needed to follow any rules.

          Today we have to write about why we are here. Hens the title, this topic includes what are expected of teachers and student, what makes a good teacher and student and what does it mean to be a good learner.

        What’s expected by a teacher, teacher should not bring their home problems top work and if their in a bad mood they shouldn’t take it out on us. They should make classes interesting and shouldn’t just stand their talking. We should do things hands on.

       What’s expected of students, they should let the teacher get their point across before they question them. They should be able to say what they think and not dismiss any body else points of views.

       What makes a good teacher, Teachers should be interesting and not be boring. They shouldn’t make us not want to go top class. If we’re wagging it should be a sign that the class is boring. 

        What does it mean to be a good learner, i think that being a good learner means learning and letting other people learn without distractions.

I havent written in my blog for about a month so this is what i’ve been doing.

      We had 8ALIVE and we didn’t do anything very fun but we did go rockclimbing, that was okay. At the moment we are reading Alex, it’s not as good as Goodnigh Mister Tom but it’s okay. The book is about a girl who is 15 and she is one of New Zealands best swimmers. She wants to go to the 1960 olimpic games and her place is set untill a girl from singapore comes over to New Zealand and she is better than Alex. Alex keeps on training and traing but she can’t seem to beat her. Then her boyfriend dies and because he was a simmer as well she decideds that she is going to get into the olimpic games for him. She finishes the school year and starts to train harder and harder, then her love for the water and swimming comes back abit. The next time she meets Maggie in a race she wins. Thats as far as i gotten but after every chapter there is a page about the last race, the race that decided weather she gets into the games or not. As she swimes she talkes to Andy (her dead boyfriend) in her head. He helps her race and I don’t know weather she wins or not.

I finish Goodnight Mister Tom the other day, it’s really good. I want say to much about it incase someone is reading it but the mother is really mean and she gats what she desivers. Some sad parts about it are that four people die it. But the ending is sort of happy, in a way. The book is very desturbing but it’s is still a great book if anybodys looking for a book to read.

     We are reading this book in class called Good Night Mister Tom. we’re only up to the second chapter but it’s pretty good so far. Better than the two that we read last year about death. My sister read it last year and said it was good but weriod.

      It’s about a boy named willie who has to leave london and go to the country during the second world war. He goes to live with a man named Thomas and becomes friends with him but then his mum wants him to come back to London and he doesn’t think he will ever see Mister Tom again. I think it would be a good book for teenages.
